I know this can be subjective according to driving conditions but there are a lot of negative reviews on the tread wear/life of these tires (on TireRack and BFG's own site). Any 15K+ mile reviews in terms of treadlife? Thanks!

I loved mine.... they were quiet.
rotated every oil change. Aligned twice in the last 18 months and alignment checked in between....
And then they got LOUD in a short amount of time. I had about 30,000 miles on mine when they started to howl. I've had 2 sets of the older KO's, and they lasted much longer.
I won't be buying another set. Which is too bad, I loved how quiet they were initially

I have just over 30k on my KO2s and I would say I am at half life or a little over. With that said, I will be going to TOYO RTs next
when you guys rotate your tires...what pattern are you doing?
1. front to back, back to front (crossed)
2. front to back, back to front.
in a trail edition. I'm thinking of rotating myself instead of waiting at the tire shop over an hour to rotate the tires lol.

Just replaced mine at 40k with another set. No regrets. I could have gone another 10-20k maybe but I didn't like the wet weather performance at 40k. Great tires overall.

I couldn't justify the cost. I went with the Falken Wildpeak AT3 (2nd gen of the Wildpeak, I believe). They're snowflake rated and drive awesome on and off road. I'll probably be getting another set when these wear out. I've only had them for about 7-8k, so I can't comment on treadwear.

Do those come in a C load rating? All I see on Discount Tire's website is E1 or SL, which I'm assuming is a no go, but I don't actually know how that translates (or doesn't) from passenger car to light truck rating.
Even in the E1 rating, they are so ridiculously cheap compared to the KO2 and Duratrac, but I would prefer no unnecessary additional weight if possible.

My ideal tire size is 275/70/17 but there are not a lot of choices other than BFG. Seems like most manufacturers make a 265/70/17 but only a few make a 275 AT tire. For me, 265 is too small and 285 is too big. As long as most are getting at least 45-50K miles out of the KO2s, that's acceptable but they are pricey!

I'm at 30k on mine and my dealership just told me I still have 80% tread left, which seemed like a stretch but who knows. Still quiet on highway, wet weather is ok, offroad is still great. That said I'm going to try treadwrights next, I love the KO2's but they are pricey.

Their prices are dumb. I snagged a set after i talked them (discount tire) down to 1k OTD for a set of 285/70R17s. Idk if thats good or not but it was at 1300 so it felt good:bluejump:

I put 60k on mine in a year, and i thought they were still pretty quiet for the amount of miles i had put on them. Just like any tire, the rotation was key as I did a modified X rotation. I will be buying them again when get my new ride in the next couple months.

Whats wrong with BFG quality? Its better than Falken and other lesser brands. The prices are what they are and comparable to other types of sporty type tires for cars etc.

Some sizes are outrageously priced to me - but of course those are the sizes that only BFG makes. Like a 34 10.5 17. And why is it $50 more per tire for a 285/70/17 as compared to a 285/70/16?
FWIW - I regret buying cheaper Toyo tires. Toyo is finally replacing at least one of my AT2s - it took 16 ounces to balance and it still sucked. This was after 1500 miles on the road - meaning something probably separated inside? Not sure. At least BFG is making tires that are round. Out of 6 tires - soon to be 7, I got 2 that balance well, and 2 that are usable on the road if filled with balancing beads, 1 that's good enough for a backup spare tire, and 2 junkers. I didn't save any money buying 6 tires to get on okay set of 4 - AND buying another set of street wheels/tires because I was so tired of the poor balance issues.
