I like the look of that sidewalk. I had rugged trails on my xterra and they were close to $225 a tire at Sam's club. I got screwed :(. But these seem to be a good alternative to a nitro terra grappler. They don't look very aggressive IMO

I agree. I've always liked the look of the BFG Rugged Trails, but from what I've read, they're not that great of a tire. I do like the look of these. Not as much as the All Terrain K/O, but for $40 less per tire, these may be an option.

If your gonna buy a BF tire, go with the KO's or KM2's! Rugged trails suck but these terrains are said to have better handling and tread wear. I wonder how they would actually handle off road. Spend the extra cash and get some KO's! :cheers:
 
If you want a good AT tire for around $172, I think the firestone destination at's are in that ballpark and a good amount of people on this site really like them. Good luck!

You're probably right. The problem is not only the extra cost of the KO's, but that means I also have to shell out the extra cash to get a daystar 2.5/1.5 too... plus get it installed. That turns those KO's into a very expensive tire. i know i should do it anyway... just putting it off

I should probably just hold off til after the wife gets her new car, then convince her i need the lift / KO's.

I just hadn't seen these before, so I was wondering if anyone had any info on them.

Yea i have read that they are a great tire, and very reasonably priced... that would probably be the 'smart' choice. I just find the Destanation AT's to be rather boring looking....
 
No, no one has tried those. The people above are talking about rugged trail t/as.

The rugged terrain t/a just came out last week and is BFG's 50K mile warranty answer to gy-silent armor, Revo 2s, and hankook dynapro atms

You know Matt I think you are right. I saw these in the Off Road magazine. I think those are nice but not as aggressive as some A/T tires.

You don't need a lift to run 70's. You just need to move the fender lining or trim it a little. You'll be fine. :cheers:

Yeah, I like the side wall look. And being designed as an AT tire, they said it has quite and comfortable ride.

I have BFG Radial Long Trail with 33k mi on them. It still has lots of threads left, the problem is they are cupped, so I want to replace them. Bad, this guinea pig can't pay $172 each for an "entry level" tire. We can get a tested Bridgestone Revo(standard size) at that price.

I want to run 285/70R17 on my 07 SE with the 3inch toytec lift (spacer and rear spring). Do you think those will fit?
 
Buy The BFG all terrains or Mud terrains or KM2 Much better stronger tires ...40.00 Per tire is only 160.00 More over the next few years ??? Spend the money on the good stuff so you dont look back and say I shoulda !!!
Just my .02 worth and If 160 is gonna break the bank then....
