Hey y'all! I just put BFG KO2's on my 2000 4Runner and they are so sick!! I highly recommend them!! :roadkill: sorry about the pictures, they are a little sideways :hatsoff:

Very nice. Almost ready to buy these tires. What sizes are they? Any lift? Would like to see some more "normal" pictures if you would be so kind. Thanks in advance!

PS: Looking at the pictures online, compared to yours, either they've added siping on the sidewall tread or you've got some rubbing going on. Are those 285's?

Looks like a lot of weight on the outside lip. Did they have trouble balancing? And have you actually put some miles in different terrain or are you just saying you recommend them because you like how they look?
 
Have a set on my 01 too. They are great.
Seem to better in the rain and the snow then the previous KOs.
They ride a lot nicer too.
I guess Michelin is more involved in BFG these days..

Should be way better in the snow than the previous version, since they are actually a snow tire. I am curious to see how they perform compared to other snow tires on the market. I'll be considering these on my Tundra when the snow starts to fall next year.
 
yeah, that's a ballsy looking tire. Gonna reccomend my friend look at them since he's shopping. Might consider them myself when my new cooper at3 wear out.
 
I have the KO's on now that are coming up for replacement and are good tires from my experience.

The KO2's look great!!

I'm trying to decide between KO2's, Duratracs, or Grabber AT2's (I've ran on 2 previous rigs and currently on my GX and are an amazing All terrain tire with plenty of life)

Most tire installers just put the tire on the wheel wherever, and throw on as much weight as needed to achieve zeros. Very rarely will an installer attempt to optimize a wheel and tire assembly. That is if they even know how.

This is why I always request for inside weights on the rim. So many times they load up the outside of the rim just to be torn off on the trail. If they dont know what Im talking about I dont ever go back to that tire shop.
 
To answer some questions, I do not have a lift. (I plan on OME 881/890 with bilstein 5100 very soon). My tires are 265/75/16 which is an inch more in diameter than the stock tire size (265/70/16). I have not taken them very off road yet and was completely recommending these tires off of how they look. I apologize for the pictures again ha! I'm not sure how to rotate them. these cost me $1,160 at Discount Tire and I did talk them down about $100.
 
I had my KO2's put on at discount tire and they didn't line up the yellow dot with the valve stem. I didn't realize because they are usually good being that they ONLY MOUNT TIRES!

However, I had a violent steering wheel shake from 45-65 and after 75 the whole truck shook.

I immediately returned and had them re-balance the tires. I asked why they didn't line up the dot and they said it was an old habit that people didn't really use anymore. Yeah so the tire manufactures put dots on every tire for shits and giggles. What morons...

Anyway they re-balanced with the dots lined up and it rides like a Cadillac now.
 
I purchased these about a month ago and I love them! I had KM2's before and wouldn't go back. These are way quieter and they do really well in the snow, I've tried them out these past couple of weeks. I got 285's and the dealership said it was hard to balance and align them because of the size. I don't know why they are only 33's but they ride really nice.

The 285s are e-rated, yes?
 
I love the look of those. I have BFG M/T's, but I really don't off-road seriously enough to justify them. I would much prefer something that can handle more urban terrain on the daily and definitely something that works better on icy surfaces.
