A little recent history to start off this build.

In 2015 my wife and I were both getting new vehicles. I wanted a Tacoma, and she had always wanted a 4Runner. We ended up getting her a Barcelona SR5 Premium, and I got an Inferno TRD Pro.

I fully built the truck, on 35s, regeared, etc. etc. etc. The wife wanted her SR5 to "look cool." I put a Toytec Ultimate lift on it, Camburg BJ UCAs, 17" SEMA wheels, and 285/70/17 Cooper ST Maxx's. Here are those vehicles:

The wife decided she wanted something new, and the original intent was to sell my truck, and I'd take her SR5. Bites were few and unrealistic on the truck, and a dealer offered me a substantial trade-in on it, so I got the TRD ORP w/KDSS, and we sold the SR5.

The day I got it:

I immediately swapped over the suspension and wheels/tires from the SR5 to the ORP. Next post will tell more about the new vehicle.

As of today, the ORP has 3300 miles on it. So far I have added:

Suspension/Wheels/Tires and TRD Pro grille from the wife's SR5
Swapped tires for 285/70/17 BFG KM3s
RCI IFS, LCA, Gas Tank, and Rear Lower Link skids
RSG angled sliders with top plate
Baja Rack Ladder
Prinsu full length roof rack
ARB dual compressor on a custom mount I made under the hood
Switch Pros SP-9100 flush mounted in the dash
HIDs for the low beams, LEDs for the highs, Morimoto foglight replacements with amber Lamin-x, running lights in the grille
Various LED lighting on the roof rack and ditch brackets (ditch lights, light bar, front and rear facing amber lights, right and left side lights, and rear lights)
Installed a Midland handheld CB with a 2' Firestik on a custom mount attached to the passenger ditch light bracket

On order is an SSO Slimline bumper with high clearance sides and Heise 20" lightbar. I got the notification on Friday that it's in fabrication and should be ready soon.

ORP is getting there, although I doubt I'll ever do 35s on it. At least not before these tires wear out. Probably no rear bumper either since it doesn't add clearance, and I can fit a 285 in the factory spare location.

Nice rig! Very tasteful mods.

How do you like the morimoto fog setup? I really like the looks of those. But for just a bit more, I could get the Baja sport fog setup. Looking at the specs on each, it appears the light output is comparable.

Thanks! Yeah I've always done all my own work. I find some satisfaction in it.

Thank you. I'm really happy with the Morimotos. The light output and cutoff are amazing. They throw very wide and cover everything from the vehicle to the lower edge of the beam from the headlights. I don't really have any comparison to the Baja setup however.

Took the T4R out for some actual wheeling yesterday. Went to Turkey Bay OHV at Land Between the Lakes in KY with a few friends. It performed great, but there were a few hiccups. Got a little body damage on the driver's door, and gashed the sidewall of one of my new KM3s. I'm going to see what I can get done about the tire, and not super worried about the door. The tire did cut short my day though. This thing really likes being on three wheels. Front off the ground, rear off the ground, sometimes one of each. That will take some getting used to for sure.
