Big O vs. Costco tires

Looking for a new set of AT or MT tires. Since I live in SF most of the hunting, fishing and camping I'll be doing is a few hours away. Looking for tires that will be good on the highway for 2-4 hours and then handle well in the snow,mud and rocks. And has anyone tried the Big O Bigfoots??

Any recommendations are helpful. Thanks.

I've seen those come up a few times. They are the best of both worlds? With a daystar 2.5/1.5 what's the biggest I could go?

Do I need spacers for the Ko2s in 285 or will the leveling kit provide enough clearance?

I've had negative experience with the brand if that counts in your information quest. Good stores but iffy line? They carry respected brands as well. Look where I live, I run Michelin MS2s on my 4th gen. And through most anything. I run General AT2s on my 93 and never felt or wished any more tire at the moment or chains ( though it's nice to know they are back there if I need them). You like be real happy with the Generals.

I have a few buddies that run the Big O AT's, and they seem happy with them. They do really well in the rain, and mud from what Ive seen, although they do wear out relatively fast.

I have maintained a fleet of 4wd vehicles for fire and forestry, along with my personal t4runners...have run Goodyear, Toyo, BFG...

Highly recommend the BFG AT KO2's for mud, snow and tough roads..

In the 4runner with the daystar...265 70R 17...max without other mods

I use Big O vs Costco as it is easier to get in and out timely.

Highly recommend the BFG AT KO2's for mud, snow and tough roads..

In the 4runner with the daystar...265 70R 17...max without other mods

I use Big O vs Costco as it is easier to get in and out timely.

That about does it then. I'll head over there on monday...for me to run anything bigger I'd need to get spacers. would I have to replace the control arms too?

...and many report that wheel spacers create more rubbing issues on inner fenders as they push the wheel further out of the intended wheel pocket.

SF is a drive to Rohnert Park, however, life time rotation and balance and a killer price on what ever tire you decide on might persuade you. PM me if you are ready. I have had Toyo ATII for the past 2 years. I have driven them in every condition with zero complaints. Hope this helps.

My wife has gone there a few times and swears by them. I will definitely go check them out. Thanks
