Really Weapons(guns) don't have serial numbers???? Most service members actually buy their own gear for their weapons like acog's, p-mags, grips, etc etc, so we can have a better and more functional weapon on the field a place where you never been so keep your comments to yourself if you really don't know what you are taking about.....anyways how about you go to the nearest Veterans Legion and thank a Vet for your Freedom.......

You're hilarious. I do not know ANYONE that has EVER purchased an ACOG, P-Mags, Grips, etc. etc. If your mission requires those things, they're issued to you. If they're not, and you're and idiot, then you buy them, and never use them.

If so you remember that OEF started back in 2001 right?? So at that time most likely you were still In Junior High?? If not my apologies.... I'm not arrogant or anything like that.... So far as I experienced we not always get the gear needed depending our mission.... Why would you get a CCOL when you r not on a urban environment??? Just saying..... But at the end I'm back where I belong an that in in NSW ( Naval Special Warafare) and here we run things differently..... Call me juvenile, immature, WTF ever you want it doesn't bother me in the end what I do (volunteer) has way more meaning I what you have ever accomplished.
Also before I forget if you r ever embarrassed of wearing your uniform because of others.... The shame is on you........ Most of us dont need to wear a uniform to represent who we are.... And you r right most weapons dont have serial numbers all over and defenetly not on the fireing pin or trigger mechanism.... But what good of a weapon can It be without it??? And if any time you leave Theather and try to smuggle something you will sure be caught somewhere in KAF or KWT....

im not in the military so i cant say either way. but stop flaming :flamethrwoer2: i have buddies in the military that have also offered to get me similar things. big deal. maybe ill buy some plate armor for vehicles or legit body armor on ebay and trade them for it since they can get something i cant, and i can get get something not supplied to them. wait.... doh! thats not how its supposed to work! i dont think its fair in any way to criticize any service member for equipping themselves better than the scrape by essentials provided by the government. its like saying im stupid for owning snap on tools instead of walmart brand. but what the **** would i know.

but hey, if someone does have some other non civilian items im always game. especially firearms. no registration or serial numbers needed, hehehe.

i still lose sleep over the nato issued 9mm with silencer, underwater rounds, bulletproof case and nato literature that i passed on a few years back. ive seen a lot of black market guns, but that was definitely one of the top 3 for sure. good thing im not a gun guy.

I read the first page of this, and frankly, quite disappointing in the way forum members who say they are in the military were acting.
I was in the Coast Guard, and even though I was a cook on paper, participated in LE Boardings, humanitarian missions, and various others things that I volunteered to do and was lucky enough to be chosen or asked to do. I ran into several active duty members while I was in from other services, and still some today, who don't seem to understand why a Coastie has a combat medal and can join the VFW. I had a Navy Chief get into a fist fight with me, at the base club just because I was a Coastie. Turned out he had never been underway, yet seemed to think my 5 years of sea service didn't mean anything. Some people are just like that.
Yesterday, after being out for almost 7 years, and dealing with medical problems on my own, I went and had my blood tests taken as I start the process for VA disability claims. These people in the clinic recognize the fact that regardless of my service I served, and in certain areas, and certain duties can mean you have certain issues that you need help on. I have been a part of my local VFW and American Legion for a while now, and I am the only Coastie that anyone in there is aware of. These old guys all served at different times then me and quite a few went through much more. Yet they treat each other with respect and dignity. They don't expect anything from anyone. They let me talk story just like them, which helps me get through some tough days sometimes.
One day, you will be a Veteran and not active duty, you'll have wants and needs that are different then they are today. You'll find no matter how bad ass you thought you were while you were active, you'll look for any moment to converse with any other Veteran cause they understand.
I see a trend in the way in which active members treat others members. When you are not deployed, and kicking down doors, remember what your mothers told you, treat others the way you would want to be treated.

Sorry for the rant.
