Bigger Tires For Stock Rims!

OK! So i don't want to lift my Runner because i will be using it to take clients around town (real estate), but i do want to give it a more masculine look. i am thinking about putting large tires on the stock rims. not anything huge, but maybe some BFG A/T's or something. just wanted a couple opinions on the best brands, sizes, etc. Thanks Fella's and Ladies (dont want to upset anyone: )

Welcome to the forum. A good question, and many of us have upsized tires a bit for the very reason you mention.

Yup, like he said. A search will bring up a TON of threads because this has been talked about a lot. There have even been some polls about it.

Get the 265/70 Revos with the blackwall out. This will give you that aggressive off-road look yet still be respectable to drive clients around town in.

Or a 275/70R16 to fill the wheel wells if you have 16" rims.

From what I have read, it seems we are fairly limited in tire size.
You can go a little bigger, with the emphasis on little, or you will have rubbing problems.
If you do a lift, you can even go a little bigger again, but then you will have a problem fitting a spare in the space provided.
I think this is one area where Toyota really blew it. They know, or should know, that one of the most common upgrades people do to their 4x4s is mount bigger tires, and they failed to give this any thought at all.

Biggest you can go without a lift is 265/70/17 or equivalent.

A lot of people choose the Revos in that size and are happy with them.
