How did you go about changing the driver's side rear? I'm in the middle of changing my rear shocks and the passenger side was easy but I can't figure out how to get to the driver side's top yet.

cut it with a sawzall for fast or hold the shock with channel locks or strap wrench . in my case I used a vise grip to hold the top of the threaded rod wedged again the rail and a box wrench on the nut. you will have to work blind and rely more on feel. here is a link

I'm about to swap out my XREAS for 4600s front and rear and have been reading/watching everything I can find on this type of job. Chris Fix used red threadlocker in his video on installing shocks. What's the consensus here? Red, blue, or none?

I don't know if I would use red (permanent) thread locker. I use either blue or mostly anti-seize on just about every bolt that I touch on the under carriage. Remember the back lower shock bolts are 47 ft/lbs not 74 ft/lbs as you will strip it at 74lbs.

A huge help- thanks for posting it here! I'm gearing up to redo my rear, likely with Bilsteins, and things like the missing bushing will save the car from sitting on jackstands an extra week while I wait on parts!
