Bilstein 5100 adjustability question

I had my new struts installed on my 4Runner today and they put it on the .85 setting and I think it would of looked better on the 1.75 setting. Do I have to remove the whole strut set up to adjust it or is there an easier way? Can I compress the spring and do it?

i wouldnt try to do it on the vehicle. you theoretically could compress the spring, hold it up, and move the clip. however, if the compressors fail and your fingers are in there trying to move the clip, thats no good. best and safest way is to remove the strut assembly and disassemble

Yeah, don't try it. It's not worth the risk. For the time it takes to pull the strut out (20 min after its on stands), it's much safer and better to just pull it.

this would be my first step, see if you can do it this way before taking it entirely out

I'm not familiar with this method. Do you have a link for instructions? Or do you have somewhat simple instructions you can explain?
