ugh.. i remember when 4wheelautoparts.com had them for 207 shipped with a 5% discount code.. shoulda bought them..

that is just the fronts though. This is a set of 4, I have rarely seen them below $400 for a set of 4

After mulling over a dozen different options - I think I am finally settled on going with bilsteins at 2.5" up front and bilsteins with 2" all-pro springs in the back..

you'll need the rear shocks to run those springs.... or you will need them shortly after lol

Speaking of belstine's, why wouldn't I be able to just swap out shocks on a Limited? Will the stock springs now work? Maybe I have an incorrect understanding of the XREAS system.

Spoke too fast just got an email form Wheelers saying "Sorry out of stock"... the art of updating website is gone I guess... so the search is back on, hopefully the fronts come through

I keep going back and forth on these and going all out with 2.5" Radflos for the Wife's Mall crawler. Common sense says the 5100s were good to go on her FJ. Finding a full set of decently priced 5100s is a freakin unicorn search right now though.

Good question, I don't have an answer as I opted to replace shocks and coils. I decided on toytec boss coil overs for front and I'm doing bilstein 5100 in rear with SAW 1.5" coils. Just need to decide who will do the install, it won't be me, but mostly as I don't have proper tools and a friend that knows how to do it. Haha

I got the rear coils and shocks from wheelers, the saw coils were out of stock but came in after a week so it wasn't a long wait, great price on the bilstein shocks though! Glad I got them when I did.

My understanding is its just the shocks/struts that make it the XREAS system. So in my mind the stock springs should work. I would assume the springs are the same for all the 4runners? I bought 5100s and SAW springs for my limited from Wheelers earlier this month and only the rear shocks were in stock. The email I got said early June...I think I can wait.

I could be wrong, but haven't the 5100's been very difficult to find for a couple years? Temporary shortages due to demand / etc. aren't unusual...but a continued long tern supply issue would seem to be.

I am sticking with the stock front springs for now. I don't need the weight support and the 5100s will give me enough lift for what I need/want.
