be sure to look for 1995-2004 tacoma shocks if your looking at suspension connection tho. same shock

Ok thanks do they not have this for the 4runner why does it have to be from the Tacoma?

They have them specifically for the 3rd gen, so you wont have to search Tacoma.
NewMex was just telling you that if they didn't specifically have them for the 4runner, that the Tacomas of those years would fit too.

Btw your 4Runner doesn't have front shocks. ... it has Struts in the front and shocks in the rear.

Incorrect. No 4Runner uses struts in the suspension. Coilover shock would be the correct term.

Really? So when you buy the parts separately you call them a strut and a coil correct?
Then when put together it is a coil over shock? I have heard plenty of times that it is a strut. If anything you should call it a coil over strut since it is not a shock

The main difference is that strut suspension has no upper control arm and the strut is basically doubles as the spindle and the shock.

Strut on the left, shock on the right. Notice the difference in the lower end of the strut on the left, and shock on the right.
The point is, putting a spring around a shock does not make it a strut. To be a strut means it not only controls the up and down movement of the suspension/tire/wheel combination, but also controls the lateral movements of the upper part of the knuckle it's bolted to.
Shocks are not made stout enough and do not have mounts built into them made for controlling the lateral forces inherent in a suspension with no upper control arm. Struts do, spring mounted on them, or not.
A shock is one unit. A strut is a suspension system comprised of numerous mechanical parts. You folks do make me laugh.
