Hey guys, just ordered my demello front bumper and was wondering if I could swap the coils on my bilsteins to some heavier rated coils. I already have a slight amount of rake and I don't want it to get worse.

I would call up Toytec. Their coils are made by Eibach I believe and are very high quality. they have a HD version that will probably get you right where you want to be.

aloha friend! old man emu 885 or 886 has a heavier load capacity. 885 for v6 with weight (bumper) or stock v8 and then 886 for v8 and weight (bumper). But id try the people you got the preassembled set from and see what they recommend. I run the 885 on my v6 04 runner with bilstein 5100s and I like it for my needs. keep us posted!

Will do I ordered em from Bilstein directly but there's a suspension shop near me that I'm gonna try out when I can find some time off from school and work

I've decided I'm gonna order the 886's from Toytec. They don't cost much so why not. My only question for you is will it be alright if I install them before I add the bumper onto them or will I run into any problems? I assume it'll just be stiffer till I mount the bumper in a few weeks but I just want to clarify

You will likely be a little nose high. But it shouldn't hurt anything

just a tad higher and more sturdy riding. once your bumper is on you should be good to go. they take a while for the new springs to settle in anyhow so you'll feel the difference in a couple months. awesome plan my friend!
