I'm going to put LC 8 wraps on the rear of my 02 4runner, and want to do the bilstein 5100's but am not sure if i can order just any 5100 or do i need a certain one that will fit a t4r with the rake? any part numbers on 5100's out there for a 4runner with about 4" rake in the rear? thanks for the help

Or for about 1/3 of the price, you could go with Tokico Trekmasters for a FJZ80 (#GE4095). I love mine and they were $80 shipped for the pair. Tokico are what your stock shocks are and they are great quality. They ride better than my OME comfort shocks did too. Just throwin it out there because I wheel my junk a lot and they are good.
Edelbrock has a sale on land cruiser rear shocks. 28 dollars a piece:

I was going to mention those as well, but didn't have the PN handy. If you want the Bilsteins and have the cash, then why not. However, I agree with Brian: half the price and still good quality is hard to beat.....

discountautoshocks.com is where I found em, but they were out of stock at the time so I had autoanything.com match their price. $35 per shock and $10 for shipping (the were $50/each at autoanything regular price). I told LINY about them and he found them for even cheaper somewhere but I can't remember where he said.

No problem. I wasn't sure about them either since I never heard of them before, but I had no problems. I'd recommend them if you can't get them where LINY bought them. They are about 2" longer than the OME 4runner lift shocks and compress to almost the same (14" instead of 13.5"). They also have a larger diameter bolt on top so they are stronger and won't snap or bend the stud as easy when you flex out. They didn't come with washers for the rubber bushings so I just drilled out the OME ones to 1/2" holes (or you could just buy new washers from wherever).

So I posted some pics before, and ppl gave me some advise that i was planning on doing anyways, and now that it is done I figured I would post some pictures, i just have kings in the front and LC 7.5 wraps in the rear, now the tires are to small at a 265/70/17, so once they wear out then ill get bigger till then they will have to work! Also need to level it so it sits even stitting 39.75in rear and 37.75in front. Thank you to all that helped me figure out what i need, and for the directions, i think she turned out alright for now! :thanks:

No, people use the GE4095 tokico shock with their lift. I have those shocks myself, and the rear on mine is lifted 3.5".

I have the adjustable 5100's up front. Love them. In the back I have tokicos and they are a little squishier. I think either one would be a great choice.
That's what I'm running. TRD/5100 are firm but precise. The rear I found (only 30km driven so far till I get an alignment) is firm from the strut, but soft with the springs. Ie, chop and ripple is firm, but a big hit and you feel the rear displace (speed bumps, dips in road, etc).
Can't wait to get a few more KM driven. If all goes well I'll be doing a 5+ day camping trip on B.C back roads. Will have a good idea after that.
