I have seen bilstein rear shocks with the boot up and the boot down. Does it matter which way it is? I also had mine installed today and they are boot down. Just tryn to see if there is a certain way for these to be installed. On my 98 I had boot up but they were also skyjackers. Thanks for the help

No it doesn't really matter I guess but just to be safe put them boot down like they're supposed to be. I switched the shocks on my golf cart with boot up and it rides better but it's a golf cart not a truck.

not all shocks can be run "upside down" bilstein has special seals(for lack of better term) that allows them to be run in almost any direction without leaking. im running my 5125s boot down and have no issues
