Bilstein TRD Pro suspension kit on sale PTR13-35140

rear driver reservoir loose, anyone else having this issue? I had tire discounters install it and just notice it shifted today and the bolt was loose. Tried tightening it but no luck. :bash: I also noticed the passenger rear used a different hole, tried both on the drivers side and no luck. Thoughts?

washers? ideas?

I busted one of the flat slotted bolts when tightening, barely had any torque on it and boom. Used a small drywall anchor in the slot on the frame to set the housing along with the bolt that goes into the frame, we will see...

Installed wheels yesterday so wanted to give potential buyers and idea.

FJ kit + wheelers front isolator + eibach rear springs.

Clip difference

Does anyone know the actually measurement of the gap between the upper clip and lower clip on the front suspension? Thanks

I didn't measure the gap between the two grooves but it looked like something short of an inch to the naked eye, maybe someone else measured it.

Let me help clarify what the kit consists of. The Toytech 2" kit comes with the Baja 1" coil spring seat along with a top mount spacer which provides approximately .5-.75" of lift. Total it's more like 1.5-1.75" total so roughly 2.5-2.75" over stock. Several people including myself have been able to get the alignment within spec without upgrading the OEM UCA. If you decide to just use the Baja 1" coil spring seat by itself you can keep the stock UCA and get within specs for sure.

Although the Toytech site doesn't list the FJ, the 2" kit will fit the FJ TRD suspension. It is basically the same kit as the 4runner kit. The only difference is the FJ uses a 14" coil vs 13" on the 4runner. Because the FJ coil is 1" taller the spring perch is 1" lower on the FJ shocks. As a result they both provide 1" over stock. Valving maybe a bit different between the two kits as well but overall I'm very happy with the FJ kit especially at the discounted price.

So the Baja coil spring seat is essentially like moving the clip up on a set of 6112's? If so I might go with those if/when I upgrade the coils on my truck. I all ready got a set of Cornfed spacers for now, so I think ill sick with them for now.

This thread jumps around but best I can tell, PTR13-35140 will fit on a 2018 TRD Off road with kdss. No spacers are required for a 1” lift up front and zero in the rear. The springs mount to the upper slot and a hole needs to be drilled in the frame for the shock reservoir per post #230.

Does that all sound correct, because I have a set on order and a local shop that says they can do the install.

Yes, and you can do the instal without disconnecting the KDSS sway bars. Save yourself from drilling into the frame and buy the reservoir clamps from a couple posts above.

That is correct. I also used the top mount spacer as well. Still drives really smooth but this will also depend on your tire selection. The E loads were rough in comparison to the the C loads I've got on now.

I purchased the jack nut along with the screw and washers as referenced in post #230. My local ACE hardware had everything in stock and total only cost me $8.00

KDSS 4Runners have a hole already in place however it isn't threaded. That explains the use for additional hardware (jack nut, screw, washers). By drilling, I believe they meant just enlarging the hole slightly so the jack nut will fit. Your installer will not be creating a brand new hole. Just wanted to clarify in case there was any confusion.

When installed correctly it will fit. No need to spend additional $$$ on clamps. Use what came with your kit :)

I would like to see a 2" lift on the front. I'm still debating whether to use 1.25" Daystar isolators or a 14" long 650lb spring.

Can anyone tell me if preloading the TRD spring with 1.25" isolator or using a 14" 650lb spring will give a harsher ride?

2” in addition to the Pro lift? Or total? My car goes in the shop in the next few days to get 2” lift all around using the Toytec perches.
