Bilstein TRD Pro suspension kit on sale PTR13-35140

Hi,

I have a Off-Road (non-KDSS). A local guy is selling front TRD Pro PTR13-35140 coilover set...but no top hats or bolts.

Question...can I use my top hats/bolts from my Off-Road or did I need to buy a new set to fit these coilovers?

Thanks for any help...trying to make sure it's a good deal without the top hats.

Sr5 premium, it was a straight swap . I think you should be fine with the old ones

I'm selling my used front setup from this kit, 8k miles total on them, I'm keeping the rears for now. Currently fully assembled strut towers, I have the Wheeler's 3/4" rubber isolator in place in between the top hat and the red TRD 600# springs. I will also include extra parts so you can reconfigure it to your liking. All Cornfed 1/2" top hat spacers, 3/4" preload spring spacer, and 1" inch preload spacers. If you don't use them sell them to recoup from your purchase. I'm willing to ship these all out for $375, paypal friends and family. PM me your number and I will send you my images and we communicate through text.

Wish I'd see this last year

If anyone knows where I can find a kit or has one for sale, please let me know. I"m in SoCal if you don't want to ship

Anyone added taller springs to TRD coilover? Skids, Winch and bumper settled almost an inch, so I am back to stock height. Look8ng for a 2” lift, but don’t know what springs to use.

I have a new kit in the box with kyb hats that I haven't installed yet. I'm still on the fence about installing it. I like the idea of less nose dive and body roll, however I like the soft ride of the stock SR5 suspension.

I like the soft SR5 ride for the 95% on rode driving that I normally do. Raising the nose slightly and decreasing body roll does attract me but I don't wanna give up my soft ride.

Any input would be welcomed.

The FJ Pro suspension is still a very soft ride. It's an improvement over the stock SR5 suspension in every aspect.

For the front, are you pretty much set on the Toytec bottom perch spacer and Cornfed top plate spacer? I think I finally made my decision on using those for the front with my FJ TRD setup.

Yep they are in there to stay. Adding the Pro suspension provides .75" of lift over a stock SR5 Adding the lower ToyTec spring seat and 3/8" thick Cornfed top hat spacer provides an additional 1.75" of lift. I am at 2.5" over a stock SR5 up front with that setup.

Do you recall the clearance gain from the TRD suspension at the front skid plate before any of the spacers?

My Dobinsons springs gave me 1.25 at the fender but 1.5 at the skid plate which was a nice surprise.

No clue but I have aftermarket skids. That's really not how you measure lift. Only correct way to measure is center of hub to bottom of the fender with the truck on level ground. The Pro suspension adds 3/4" of lift on an SR5 which means the skid plate go up the same 3/4" If your fender height moves up 3/4" so does the skid plate height.

Thanks, I get that but I only care for the # under the skid plate (RCI 3/16) and I got a bit more there than I did at the fender, which I found interesting. Hence the question.

How are those ATZ P3 treating you?

You only got more there because of a dip in the ground. You didn't gain anything more at the skid than you did at the fender, it's impossible. The body and frame move together, the skid is bolted to the frame. Now when you add larger tires that will increase ground clearance so that will of course increase the clearance between the skid and ground. The ATZ P3 have been great so far. I run them in 295 so they are E rated and very heavy. Each tire and wheel weighs in at about 95 pounds. So far it seems running them at about 32 PSI yields the best road contact patch.
