Bilsteins...

Im getting the Tundra/OME lift and this is probably the max amount of lift that I want. I've heard that the Bilstein HD's give you an extra 1/4-1/2" of lift. Is this true all you Bil guys? They seem to be more appreciated on this site than Tokico Trek>Masters. (My back-up choice). I dont want any more lift that what the coils are going to give. Would Bils be okay?

Gas shocks will not lift a vehicle, only air shocks will. This is the job of the spring. That said I feel Bilsteins are the best shock money can buy. Your ride may seem a little stiffer but you'll have alot more control and dampning. Second to Bilsteins would be KYB Gas Adjust. Both are mono tube design which cool faster and aid in less shock fade. Good luck.

Nope. I used to sell them and run them on my '81. I could stand over the shock, push down and compress and hold the shock compressed. They are firm, but there's no way they will lift a 4,000lb truck, especially when I can keep it compressed by hand. Buy them, they're the best.
