Bilstien 5100 with OME 890

I got the lift dims from toytec. OME-964R - Old Man Emu Rear Coils (96-02 4Runner)

My measurements I took were from prob 10 minutes after I lowered it from the jack. I guess I had more of a saggy butt than I thought.

I used the SS 7.2 kit as my shopping list and simply replaced the front shock and coil with the Bilstien 6112. So essentially I have the SS 7.2 Kit with the front bilstiens sub'd out for 6112's. Was my strategy anyway. May have been ambitious, but I went for it, haha. Definitely feeling the lack of knowledge, but gotta start somewhere... Thank you T4R.ORG!!!

So I think my next purchases will be extended bump stops, Panhard correction kit (already have the Adjustable Bar but reading that it the correction kit makes more of a difference), and extended sway bar end links. From what I read and hear this should improve my handling significantly. Suggestions? Eventually will upgrade to the longer 5100's.

Do you fellas think it unsafe for me to run the shorter 3rd gen specific 5100's with my OME 890's? Mostly pavement until I ship it to another island where it will be going from the Beach to the Mountain on weekends. Will prob not much rock crawling at all like some of the other rigs here. Just need more ground clearance and want a smooth ride on dirt roads.

Just starting on this journey of building and really appreciate all of the input.

I had this exact same setup on a 2002 and was pretty happy with it, no safety issues at all and this one stayed on the road too. Seemed like the perfect amount of lift for street and i was able to run a 265/75R16 Goodyear Kevlar all terrain with no problems. Very nice and smooth ride.

In my opinion, I did feel some bounce in the rear end but it wasn't overwhelming. I love Bilstein shocks but in this case i don't believe the Bilsteins were valved stiff enough for the OME springs. I put the exact same springs on my brothers 4runner but went with a OME Nitrocharger shock and so far i like the ride better...just feels like the two components belong together. And they should since they were tuned together from OME.
