Bimmian Xenon Interior Lighting (replacements)

Ok, I got the bulbs and changed all of them out except for the lights in the picture above. I could not figure out how to get to the light housing and I didn't want to break anything. I'm a goober and I'm sure it's very simple. How'd you guys do it?

Pry gently on the side you normally press to toggle the light on/off.

there is not much room for your two fingers to get a tight hold of the light bulb...so you will need to give it couple of times...try to shake it the same direction with bulb's flat tail...also be gentle since I broke one bulb by apply too much force on the fingers...

Here is the trick I did...I put a thread around the bulb's waist...tight it up then pull it down...it was much easy that way....

Sharprunner or anyone, are your new dome lights brighter than the stock ones?

It's hard to say. They're less bright because they're not as hard on the eyes. I'd prefer to have the full 8 watt in the dome lights though. Time will tell if the domes are acceptable.

I really like xenon lights...as for the dome lights I wish there is a chrome-light-reflected-metal sheet inside the light housing just like the one in the reading light's housing...it will provide better brightness

Finally got mine

Well first off mine sure took a long time in getting here but when they did it was interesting. Here is what I recieved: I have no idea what all this is for and I don't believe anyone else recieved what I did. Anyway I replaced the bulbs throughout the truck and the lights are very pleasing to the eye but not very bright.

With the exception of the map lights which really made a difference I am not very impressed. Don't get me wrong I like the lights better than the stock (yellow) lights but I guess I was expecting more...

I actually have green bulbs in my running boards already and I like the look--matches the green lights on the NAV --- so I didn't change the RB lights..

All in all I am glad I did it..

Anybody want to buy some bulbs...
And some round silver...things?

Well I got my lights installed.
I love the running boards and the maps lights, but the
dome lights are kinda weak. I wish we could make them
like the map lights that would be off the hook.

Kewl, got everything installed. I wish the dome lights were a lot more blue like the map lights. I think it's either because they don' t have that reflective stuff behind the bulb or maybe cause the plastic lens is a different material. I'll have to mess around with it some reflective material like mylar...

Hey man,

I've got tracking numbers for those that were shipped by FedEx but the ones by snail mail didn't come with that option. Let me know if you don't get them by Wednesday the 26th of May and I'll get on Bimmian about the missing order!!
