Good luck with the K10! I can't wait to see that monster completed!! I'm getting the itch to step away from wheeling the 4runner myself. I've been toying with the idea of building/buying an FTOY to wheel.

FWIW, I didn't "dicker" (his word) with the price. I think it's helpful for the community to know what things sell for. It was more than fair.

Oh man. You should have SASed it.. But I totally understand.

The old stuff is so much easier to deal with for hard core use. I have the same thoughts about selling mine even though I really like where it sits right now.

Then I think I'll SAS it. Then I think I'll sell it and build an 80 with an LS... You know the drill.

It's such a smoother ride for a DD, IMHO. Might happen eventually, just have other things on the agenda for the near future. Your Hilux build looks pretty frikkin sweet. :cheers:

Added SiriusXM receiver to the AVIC-8000NEX HU

I used this one from Amazon

Mounted the antennae on the dash against the windshield, next to the NAV antennae. Routed the wire the same way, under the windshield trim towards the passenger side, under the glovebox, and up to the HU.

Everything works fine, except I can't control SXM through the steering wheel controls...volume, stations. The steering wheel controls worked fine previously for all other AV inputs (HD radio, Pandora, bluetooth audio), and it still does for those inputs.

Anyone have any thoughts on wtf is going on with the SXM and steering wheel controls?

Also moved the HAM mic to the right side of the dash, and put a magnetic phone mount in it's place on the left side.

I'll have to see how the phone mount holds up off pavement, might replace it with a RAM X-mount.
