Bit the bullet - 275-55-R20 LTX MS/2s on my '13 limited

After reading I believe every thread on here about the 7" Limited rim dilemma and anguishing about which tire to buy I finally bought a set of 275-55-R20 LTX MS/2s today on sale installed for $800 with a $70 Visa card perk with free rotation and balancing and 30 day money back guarantee. They look great and tremendously helped the tracking and ride over the stock 245 Duelers. Don't hesitate - this is the way to go for all you limited guys with the 20X7" Limited rims.

I agree! A 275/55 R20 farrrr out performs the stock 245/60 R20; particularly at high speeds and around hard curves! I removed the oem tires w/2,800 miles on the clock, and so was able to sell them almost right away; "here's a comparison photo of the two tires together":



The tire on the left is the oem 'Yokahama Geolander' 245/60 R20; It's still 'on rim' and inflated to 40 psi. The one on the right is the 'Gd*Yr Eagle LS-2', still Unmounted and awaiting the tire machine... the difference is obvious!

Very good to know as I run Michelins on all my trucks. I will get some miles out of the stock ones though

I'm surprised you found someone that would mount them, most chain tire stores not only wont do it but seem to be trying to buy them back off people they had already mounted them to. I'm sure liability concerns.

I asked two guys I know in the tire business and they both said it was fine on a 7" rim. One said he has put them on several limited 4runners. with no issues at all and, in fact, it is what he recommended. BTW he said Michelin is discontinuing the LTX soon and reducing the warranty to 50K on the replacement because vehicles are now more powerful than in the past, not because it is a lesser tire. Hmmmm

Hi, thanks for the information. I was also going to put 275/55/r20 my 2022 4runner so i wanted to ask you if they touch in the inside of the fender or mudflaps when you reverse. I am asking you this because people have been mentioning that they touch, please let me know thanks
