BL vs. 9wraps

So I have had my mind set on doing a 2" bl to help clear my 295's better, I'm currently running 8wraps lc in the rear and kings coilovers in the front and sit 40" center of hub to fender all around, and I like the level look, but if I go with 9 wraps in the rear I would think I would get another 1.5-2" of lift in the rear but still need the front to be leveled, what could I do to make the front level, it's already about 3.5" of lift and I don't think I would be to good to lift it another 1.5" cuz the CV angles would be horrible, so should I just do a 2" bl so it's level? Any thoughts! Thanks

More lift will gain more wheel travel but, in theory, the suspension should compress to the bumpstops. This is where you are having some rubbing issues. A body lift will move the body further away from the tires when stuffed. I think you are on track with the 2" BL to keep the 295s off the top of the wheelwells.

Remember that no amount of suspension nor body lift will eliminate the rubbing when turning the front wheels.

body lift is best bet. only prob is if you have the rear hidden hitch, it will hang down and imo look dumb. but good excuse to get a rear steel bumper :D

thanks for the advise, i guess a body lift it is! hopefully it wont be to hard to install, ill probably take off the trailer hitch cuz i dont really use it much!

unless you get stuck and the only way to be pulled out is from behind... do you have any tow hooks down there?

if it has stock tow hooks i do!! but if your referring to shackles i do not have shackels, i will put some on the front when i put a shrockworks bumper on the front!

Rear hitch is not quite the only way to go - Legokcen makes a very affordable d ring mount set that will fit on the front or the back. Its in this thread and start around page 4. My set came in today and they look good. Mounts using factory bolts. I got a set of 2 shipped for under $80.

They also fit in the rear. I installed a set on mine. I have a tow hitch, but I'm sure those who wheel don't have one. The mounts fit perfectly in the back as well. I removed what was there and the same bolts worked perfectly.

wardriver thats exactly who im planning on getting those from, looks like they are mounted off the tow hitch assembly, hopefully they will still mount up fine if the tow hitch isnt there, i dont see why there would be a problem though

I had stock tow eyes in the back of mine that could still be used without the tow hitch. See if you have them first, they'll work just fine for recovery if you don't want to spend $$ on D ring mounts. I have my old ones still if you don't have them on your truck already. You can have them if you want to pay for the shipping.

Not to throw a hitch in the works but there is another alternative to both the BL and the 9 warps. Trim and clearance:D The rear will simply need a little trim on the backside of the wheel well and the front is more work but totally worth it in my opinion. Set the truck on front jackstand's, remove your front coils/strut and reinstall the tire. Move the tire through the cycle of travel. then when it touches the inner fender well, use a BFH and move it back. in the case of front bumper or flares use a cutoff wheel to trim (a little at a time) It takes a little time, about an hour and a half per side, but totally worth it. Remember to do this with the wheels straight and turned. I got 35's to fit with no lift at all, not even BL. I have since installed my kings and 8 wraps but I know that no matter what I won't rub. It is a great peace of mind since no matter what the lift you have, the suspension still cycles the same path. Good luck with your decision.
