So my question is do I need to trim my existing tail pipe? The vehicle is brand new and came without a tip I’m wondering how far the tips slide on if there’s trimming needed? I don’t want it to hang out passed the bumper

Mine came from the dealership with a black tip.

That will depend on the length of the tip that you select. Typically you should expect to trim the exhaust pipe.

Anyone know what the tail pipe size is? Not sure which tip fits properly but i'd like to install a black tip also.

I installed the same tip (EX1011B). Purchased from amazon as 'used,' but it wasn't, just repackaged. Saved six bucks.
I trimmed right behind the flared section with a cutoff wheel. Worked great because I was able to keep the downward slope which helped clear the rear fascia.
There are three clamp-like things built in, I tightened them until the clamp thing started to bend. Nice and tight but may not survive an off-road bash.
I installed it purely for looks but I think it may actually have changed the sound/tone a bit.

No issues with melted bumper skins or vibration with it touching the bumper?

The tip does not touch the plastic, there is just enough room. The tip also is multi part/section: it has an inner perforated section and then an outer steel part, it is not just a simple sleeve. (As seen in the second photo of Cobalt Anubis' post: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/2992466-post12.html )The design may contribute to cooler surface temperatures.
