Black License Plate Frame Suggestions

Hello. I'm in the process of "blacking out" my Super White 4runner. I still have my super shiny chrome dealership license plate frame that needs to be replaced.

I read up on the one being offered by Ellis Precision. They look nice, but are out of the black ones till next year. I also say some affordable ones on Amazon, but no idea which one to get. Also, aluminum or stainless steel?

Can anyone offers a good suggestion? Thanks!

I bought a flat black plastic one from Dollar Tree or Dollar General, then put my favorite sticker on the top in the center. 1 year later and it's still running strong, balling on a budget!!
 
I just did a $15 black aluminum one (Amazon) without any lettering or design on it. You can probably find cheaper but I didn't want a crappy plastic one.

I've gotten two off Amazon.

The first one was what I believe to be stainless, but ended up rusting. Luckily I caught it pretty quick and it didn't stain my paint.

Second one I got is aluminum and has been doing much better.
 
I got a couple cheap plastic (I didn't want aluminum or metal) ones from Amazon and hit it with some sandpaper and it looks matte now. Turned out great.

I bought a black powder coated plate frame from Amazon. Then used Toyota's free lettering to get the name of my truck. Install the latter on the former, and boom, personalized sturdy license frame.

*Although I didn't realize the plate bracket I ordered covered the registration stickers for my plate. But I've not yet been pulled over for it yet either.

Az has lots of specialty plates, some of the profits go to the organization your supporting. I thought FFA was a great cause........or is it the black wood plate?:)

I like this one, some may think it's a little too patriotic but I also have black American Flag decals on the sides of mine.

hmmmm the sarcasm obviously was a little over your head. Most people here plastidip the rear 4RUNNER on the tailgate.... so I was implying the same with the plate....
