Besides stain hiding, does black have any benefits?
Thanks
Yes: it looks better (IMNSHO

)
I'm a huge fan of black-on-black, or black interior on most any vehicle. My previous Black TRD Tacoma had the brown interior - was not a fan. New T4R is black-on-black - waited more than 2 months for it in my exact configuration.
The SR5 still has some tasteful gray on the upper door and A-Pillar, plus silver trim accents, where the limited is mostly black inside with some silver trim. The SR5's Black+Gray looks pretty dang sexy to me. Most other interior colors with the standard gray accents just look odd to me.
Some of the body+interior color pics I see of our beloved T4R's make me want to puke a little (especially pics with the doors open where you can see body color butted-up against interior colors) - but color preference is obviously a highly subjective thing and needs to make you happy in the end (doesn't matter what I think!)...
So basically I agree with the others that posted as I was taking my sweet time writing this
PS - This is also my first Leather Upgrade vehicle. I'm really digging the leather above my previous experiences with Toyota cloth seats. Minor gripe = Cold Seats or Hot Seats in winter/summer. But even being 28 months old, my T4R still has the New Car smell! Most (if not all) of my passengers always comment on the new car smell

Love that!!!! Can't stand a dingy smelling ride...
