Nice pics brown. Did you install it yourself or got a shop to do it?

PGRunner...yes, I did install it myself at Bolling AFB's Auto Hobby Shop. Took me a couple of hours, some of the bolts were a pain in the behind.

Pinky...that's a LMTV (Light Medium Tactical Vehicle) cargo truck with armored cab.

Couple questions -

How much clearance do you lose with one of these?

If you were to smack a large rock would this bullbar cause more collateral damage or would it protect the front bumper and undercarrriage?

Beast-IV...I would consider this bumper to be more for aesthetic purposes even though it is solid and there are six bolts mounting it to the frame.

As far as clearance goes, I didn't really have a loss of clearance the way it's mounted it's pretty much aligned to where the bumper is.

Any advantages or disadvantages to having extra lights mounted to the bull bar or the roof? I personally don't like the idea of obstructing the air flow with a roof mounted light bar, plus the noise, but I also understand the height factor in illuminating the road.

That's definitely an option. One that will need to be explored further after I do a grill conversion.

Lights on your roof can cause a ton of glare on the hood, especially with a silver car

Bull Bar damage enhancer

Bull Bars are damage enhancers. If you hit something solid it will buckle into your grill. The only thing they might be good for is pushing brush down, but people should stay out of the brush and on the established roads.
Don't get a bull bar. Get a steel bumper.

I've been looking for some, but nobody makes a good looking one for the pre-facelift 5th gen. The only one I slightly like is the ARB one but it makes it look like the car has braces.

I beg to differ. The other option I was looking at was Addicted Offroad's but my Zeon 10s wouldn't fit. PC @wfo9
