Blacked headlights that don’t leak?

I replaced my headlights with blacked out ones that ascetically I Love from https://www.protuninglab.com/20to4rcchapr.html

However, they get condensation so bad. I’ve done the hair dryer. I’ve resealed with silicone. I’ve called pro tuning and they simply relayed they are Chinese knock offs and it’s a gamble of this happening. At this point I want to replace them. Anyone have any recommendations for a blacked out replacement that doesn’t leak. And I can’t black out the oem ones as my drivers side one lens is messed up. Unless someone has a minty drivers side to sell me.

Damn, I've been looking at those exact headlights too. I've heard some people having issues, along with others saying they love them and no issues after having them for awhile. I guess it's luck of the draw.... I had concluded that normally the ones bought from amazon seemed to be more defective than the ones purchased from protuninglab.

I'm not sure as to what could really be causing the condensation. Though while you have your OEM ones, maybe try using the lense off of the protuning lab ones and applying it to the body of the OEM ones? It couldn't hurt to try since its free... well besides your time.

I would put them in the oven and then reseal them. Hairdryer doesn’t seem like it would do the trick. Otherwise if you still have your old headlights, you can just swap out the guts. Although they look they might not swap over, but maybe the lens?

Also, did you buys these from protuning or eBay or something? If you got them from protuning, then that is ****ing atrocious what they relayed to you. They should put in the description, crapshoot on if they’ll leak.

I have never seen aftermarket headlights that don't leak, or work very well. There just aren't any quality manufacturers of headlights outside of OEM.

Idk bought some depo ones for both 4r & so far nada ! Both thru all kinds of weather , not the best fit on 05 but close no leaks .

Bought from pro tuning. That’s what they actually told me. I saw on the site I could of bought a longer warrantee of one year for extra. Regret not getting that.

I would pass on them. They look great. But nothing but issues from just a few months in.

Btw today one of the angel eyes also shorted out. These are only six months old.

Mine leaked- then I dried them out and put silicon around the edges and it held pretty well.

take the headlights out and drain the water thats in there, then preheat the oven at 250 and dry the lights in there, only 10 minutes is needed, you can also push the lens back on tight, more likely the headlights get wet is a bad seal, happen to me too, you can also take the lens off and add some extra butyl to make a better seal.

Here’s pics.

Take the lights out, dry them and add silicone bead to teh entire surround. This will most likely stop the leaking, If it still leaks, you have to add positive pressure and soapy water to find the place where it is leaking.
