blacked out headlights

yeah i mentioned the ebay thing like 18 posts ago... for an 06 to 08 its 125 for each, for a 03 to 05 its only about 40 a piece.

Sorry, but can you guys explain how to remove the headlights with some pictures? I've been trying to get this done for awhile now, but just can't figure out how to remove the lights from my car...

Ditto the above and also did you have to re-aim the headlights. I am a bit scared of this mod for some reason. So far I've had my wheels powder coated flat black, I've painted the grill insert flat black and painted the rear chrome piece flat black. I'm not afraid to pain but something about taking apart the headlights scares me. I do have a silver T4R and I think w/ the rest of the flat black this would really finish it off...

Here's my rig so far...do you think the flat black headlight mod would finish it off or be too much??

i think you need to tint the windows too. if you are going for the blacked out look this is a must. the headlights wouldnt be too much they would look nice on your ride

i want to do this....and i dont. im a little scurred to try myself thats for sure

I just can't wait fo mines to get here and get them installed....those are sick...looks good my friend...congratulations.

How long it took you to installed them?...was it hard?

Wasn't that hard. About 3 hrs only because I did several coats and was waiting for it to dry in between. Used a black texture paint so it would absorb light and not reflect giving a deep look to the housing.

Hey can you tell me exactly what type of paint did you use , where did you buy it and how many cans.?..did you put a base flat color first or just straight black? Was it hard to take the headlights apart and put them back together?...

Look who's talkin! When are you gonna color match your grille and maybe a headlight upgrade? :bigok: We could try to do the blackout headlight mod ourselves, that way if we mess up, you have to upgrade regardless haha.

I really want to do this mod but I think that I am going to wait and purchase a separate set of headlights to replace my originals just in case I make a mistake...
