So while I was in Lowes today it hit me that I've been meaning to do this for a while. Since I had the day off I figured why not. I got a can of Valspar plastic paint semi-gloss, no primer needed, and gathered up some tools and got started.
Tools required: 10mm socket, ratchet, screwdriver
I followed the instructions exactly as I read from other member's posts and overall it was pretty easy. I used a 10mm socket to get to the 4th bolt in the headlights everybody says is a PITA. I had to remove it from under the bumper. Removing the 3-4 bolts in the lower part of the fender liner helped. I was also able to get them back in pretty easily.
While I had my headlights out, I started to notice how oxidized they looked so I did some research and bought CV headlight restoration kit after reading a ton of good reviews. Stuff is serious business, incredible job.
The whole job took about 4 hours but most of it was waiting for paint to dry or lights to cook. I used 4 coats of the Valspar black paint with light coats in the first 2. The headlights I baked in the oven at 250 degrees for about 10 mins. They came apart pretty easily just gotta take your time. I left the orange reflectors off cause I liked the look better without it.
