Seen alot of threads with people stuffing this and that or towing something heavy..... Well here is my annoying post. Decided to get some landscaping stone today, argued with the guy at the store. You damn right that there 4runner will haul 2,000 lbs of stone inside its cabin! The man insisted something would be dragging the ground or end up broke before I drove 25 miles home. Guess what? WRONG. Here is a few pictures of 2000 lbs of stone inside of a 4runner ;) Enjoy. Oh yeah forgot to mention whats not included in the pictures is all the stone in the front passenger side floor board and seat.

That's it? Only that much rock = 2,000 pounds? wow...

Kudos to your 'Runner! :D
 
That's a lot of weight. Traveling for Christmas with the family weighs ours down, and the springs are high-loaders.

It would have been interesting to measure the height of the rear before, during and after.

I wonder if that kind of weight could permanently sag a pair of 891's - have you noticed any difference?

Way to get that **** done though!

Thought about measuring the rear, but was more concerned with unloading the rock and getting the landscaping done before the sun went down. Haven't notice any difference after the rocks were removed, but it did ride like hell on the highway at 65 mph while loaded....

Oh it was squatting alot, but it was not on the bump stops... Riding with the suspension bottomed out on stock bump stops plus a 3 inch lift and 255/85's would equal alot of noise from mud tires rubbing metal.

I know that feeling. I put about the same amount of bricks in mine after the landscape job. I had to order extra bricks just in case because the delivery charge was huge. I put at least a half pallet in mine for a quick run to the Habitat store and I was very careful about slowing down. You can definitely feel the difference
