Seriously your fab skills are awesome and those skids and bumper look amazing. Want to move to the Bay Area closer to your brother so I can hire you to make me some stuff? I really like that rear bumper and it's very low profile. I was just thinking yesterday that you hadn't posted in a while and here you are. Nice work as always!

This is another one I did for my brothers Long bed Taco. Also did a similar one for my buddy very recently.

Between my own projects, my brothers and a buddies skid plates, I got a complaint from the neighbor for all that constant noise I created..I might just have to do that move.:biggrin1:

Yeah the idea was to make one with a higher clearance..I have yet to go out wheeling to test it out.

On a different note, how do you like the Nitto's now that you've had them on for awhile? Looks like they run more true to size than my KM2s based on the pictures. I don't see many people on here running them though.
 
I really like what you did with your ARB bumper, maybe ARB could take some notes:thumb3: One of my co-workers did the same with his ARB that came on a Trooper he bought, it really makes it fit the truck alot better.

Also, kudos on your curb feeler CB mount. Great way to kill a blind spot on the trail. I might have to do that with my Econoline, that thing is HUGE and any assistance navigating it through tight spots would gladly be taken.

That rear bumper is just beautiful. IMO, that design is prettier and more stout than anything the aftermarket has to offer.

They're real reliable on the trails especially aired down, a buddy of mine has a dual locked LX running MTR's, naturally speaking, his rig's supposed to a whole lot more capable than mine.

But running the same obstacle on the same PSI proved different where my tires would just get over everything w little or no slip and his would struggle on all 4 sides. Not bashing the MTR's as I like them as well, but I have a different level of respect for these Mud Grapps.

No regrets whatsoever. Yes they also run true to size among others.

After a second redesign, I don't think I could find anymore ideas to improve it further. Just like the rear bumper, I've managed to increase the approach angle/clearance so that is a big plus which is my main goal. Ha..I also love it when I get asked what model ARB this one is...makes the modification all the more worthy.

The mounting of the cb antenna was not designed for any kind of purpose:D..more on aesthetics but there have been incidents where like you said, it proves to be helpful gauging distance and blind corners.

Glad you like it as much as I. The ARB was an attempt to be different with purpose in mind.

Aftermarket ones available on the market are nice and I like a few. But so few designs closely replicate the curvature of the stock bumper, which is a big decision maker for me. At the same time, I wanted something slim and streamlined to match the petit-ness of the front one.

Having a higher clearance also gives an illusion that the rig is taller than is actually is. It works for me.
