Bleach.... I hate you.

Well, I went to the store to buy a few things which happened to include bleach. Whenever transporting stuff like bleach, I put it in the back seat and since I have the seat all the way back, it usually holds it in place. Well, turns out the bottle of bleach I bought didn't have the cap on correctly and spilled all over my carpet and now I have nice and peach like colored stains in my truck and they're driving my insane. Where can I get replacement carpet without paying full price from Toyota? It's a tan interior BTW. Pics coming in a few.

You could try some dye. Had a girlfriend who spilled bleach on the living room carpet once and she was able to color match with Rite dye.

I've never seen a dye that would match the tan interior though. The carpet is separating on the front drivers side anyways, but I can't afford a whole new carpet.

At least it doesn't reek of bleach in there anymore. I sprayed some Ozium in the interior and right where it spilled last night and let it sit over night. Thankful the floor mats took the most of it, since they're all weather but I still can't stand that stain. It's driving me insane since I like to keep my truck as clean as possible.

My carpet is ruined too after NJ had its way with my truck.

You MIGHT be able to find an aftermarket one, though I have always wanted to try vinyl like the FJ has because I tend to ruin things easily
 
You can try interior dye. Go to Autozone or Advance Auto and get the Duplicolor interior paint that is closest to you carpet color (it looks gray to me) and try it on your spots. I doubt it will be perfect but it might make it look a little better for $6.99 or so. I've use it on plastic parts and it doesn't rub off. I can't tell where the spots are but maybe some Weathertech liners will cover the spots too. I got some recently and they really cover a lot of the carpet.

Nope, interior is tan. It was sitting in the shade and I had to use flash on my iPhone 5 too actually show how bad the color is.

I would get some weathertechs but I think it's a bit late... Lol. I want to cover the carpet in vinyl but its just as expensive as getting new carpet (to do it correctly & professionally) and the carpet makes it look a little more classy (though I like the protection of the vinyl. Ill look for the carpet spray, hopefully they'll have it.
 
OK bud.... I just replaced the carpet in my '05 SE and THE CHEAPEST place that I could find OEM replacement carpet was at www.oemparts123.com. Right now, it's actually cheaper than when I purchased it. You can get the carpet for the front area (which runs from the fire wall to the back seats whereas the rear storage area is a separate piece) for $590.18. Now, I know that is still a lot of scratch, but the dealer is asking about $850.00. I will say that once I got mine installed, it really felt like a new vehicle. I am very happy with it. I hope that helps!

OK, now I cannot give you the exact link, because every page on their sight shows the same address.. However, after entering your vehicle information, look under "BODY HARDWARE/TRIM", then "PILLARS, ROCKER & FLOOR" then "FLOOR & RAILS", and finally "FLOOR MAT" (why they call it a "mat" is beyond me, because it is carpet). You will see a Fawn colored one and a Stone. I think that the "tan" color is the FAWN. Anyway, hope that helps!
