Hi all,
I will be changing out the brake booster assembly on my 2009 GX470 (many similarities to 4Runner). I have instructions for how to do it, most of them are fairly clear but I’m having an issue with how I will bleed the brakes at the end. The issue comes with the step on how to bleed the master cylinder solenoid. The instructions (attached) say to use an intelligent tester to actuate the solenoids to bleed the air. I don’t have a tester that is capable of doing this. I was thinking of doing all the work except the last step and bringing it to the dealership to have them bleed it properly. How bad will the brakes be if the master cylinder solenoid is not bled when I drive it to the dealership? And can any damage be caused to the brake system by driving it in that state??
