So I just got my oil changed and they told me my front struts were starting to leak so it was the perfect excuse to tell my wife why we need to replace all 4 of them with new blisteins! So prolly around the week after thanksgiving we are going to order blistein 5100's. Or if there is a better option for the same price as the blisteins. Ooor if the blisteins are the best let me know if you've seen a cheap price lately. Thanks guys. This sight is the beeest!

All depends on your use. The 5100's are great shocks, a nice upgrade from the OEM's. Good overall on/off road performance. Not the best choice for hardcore off-roaders, but for a daily driver and mild off road they're excellent.

Yea I'm only gonna do some light trail riding and a light bar. Stock bumpers. I can't wait to get them! My friend is gonna help me put them in so it will be pretty cool to learn about the under belly of the t4r

Shockwarehouse.com is $50.00 cheaper and they have a 5% off code on top of this post

So im finally getting around to installing the Bilstein's on Tuesday! Will def put before and after pix in my build thread but I have a quick question.
I have about 95000mi on the runner and was wondering if it would be a good idea to replace the ball joints since I'm gonna be under there anyways. Or if it is just way too early and there is just no need?

You will LOVE the new shocks. I upgraded to Bilstein's last year (ish) and could not be happier. Some say it's a "firmer" ride, which I don't agree with. At least not in daily highway/town driving. You'll see a little more firmness off road or on large speed bumps, but for 95% of my driving they are much smoother on the small bumps than the Xreas I used to have. Almost like a "progressive" shock, which comes more from the FJ coils I have. The Bilstein's are designed for the Toyota "120" platform, which includes our 4runners and I must say, Bilstein did a great job. Good luck w/ your install!
