block heater

i need to install a block heater in my 03 limited with the v8. is this an easy install? has anyone done this?

Are your rear door functions restored?

Check with toyota to see if they offer one for the v8. The block heater they offer for the v6 took me about 15 min. to install. That block heater fits just about all their cars but I can't recall if it fits your v8.

I did what you suggested and had some success. The defrost button will now light up and I can hear the washer fluid motor working but now the window will not go down. I disconnected the neg off the battery for about 20 min and when I reconnected the problem came back exactly as when we started. I could roll down the window but nothing else would work. I rolled the window down from the dash button and then all the way back up holding the button down at the top for about ten sec. The defrost, wiper and sprayer worked but the window would not work anymore? Any suggestions? Anyone?

On the drivers door controls make sure the window lock button is not depressed.

Typack, when I bought my T4R used (had it brought up here from southern Ontario) my local Toyota dealer put the block heater in for me at no charge - I've built a good relationship with them over many, many years and they look after me that way
