Bluetooth Issue - No Audio While Connected To USB

Forgive me if this has been addressed elsewhere as I haven't come across it.

When I stream downloaded music, (Amazon Music Unlimited), from my iPhone 5c to the Entune audio system in my 2016 TEP via bluetooth it works fine...

...unless I connect the lightning cable to the USB port to keep the phone charged in which case I seem to lose the audio.

If I remove the cable from the phone and USB port the audio starts back up.

Is this an issue or is there some setting I am failing to enable / disable on the Entune or phone to get it to work while the phone is connected to the charger?

Do I need to disable bluetooth while connected via USB and switch the audio source to USB or auxiliary input?

sounds like it's confused from which source to stream the audio. I had this problem before but since then I have a 64gig micro USB stick plugged in for my older songs and I only use blue tooth steaming. I also use the charging USB cig lighter unit which I find charges faster .

It is an issue with the radio and the USB port. I have no problems as long as I don't use the factory mounted USB port.

I solved that issue by purchasing a dual port USB outlet that plugs into the cigarette lighter outlets.

I remember once, some months ago I had a similar issue while using Spotify (at the time) but somehow got it to work with bluetooth while still plugged into the USB port...but for the life of me, I can't remember how I managed to do it.

I tried finagling with some of the settings while driving back from up north the other day but no joy and thought I'd see if anyone here had any recommendations before I drove myself nuts trying to figure it out.

It's probably as simple as choosing the right source. (I didn't even know that the USB could be used for anything but charging the phone so I'll have to see if I can get it to work by choosing an alternate input, I suppose.)
