Bluetooth "Send Volume" Adjustment

Rover+Runner

I had a problem with people hearing me through the Bluetooth phone connection and used the diagnostic mode on the factory Nav system to fix:

To Enter Diagnostic Mode:

Method 1:
1) start engine
2) press and hold "INFO" button
3) While holding "INFO" move headlight switch from OFF->ON->OFF->ON->OFF->ON->OFF

Or Method 2:
1) start engine
2) switch to "Display Check" screen
3) from display quality adjustment screen touch the corners of the screen in the following order: upper left->lower left->upper left->lower left->upper left->lower left

Once in diagnostic mode I could turn up the "send volume" from the Bluetooth menu = problem solved

Hey thanks RR! I always wonder if there was something I could do about this. Gonna try this.

F'NNN Huge dude I just purchased a Limited and the Bluetooth sucked so I was about to throw my hands in the air until I saw your post and here we go it f'NNNNN works.

I owe you one hell of a beer thanks for the post :beer:

I pulled up the diagnostic menu on my parents 06 4Runner and 07 GX. Toyota/Lexus did away with the override feature that was present in the 03-05 models. Also, I was able to see the backup camera at all times in the GX which was awesome. Let me know if you want to see video of that!!!

What disc version do you have Mark on your parents' '06 4Runner? My '06 has the override button. IIRC, my disc is v5.1.

I remember members posting about the always on backup camera diagnostic over on CL with the RX330. They said it makes you dizzy fast if you drive around in the parking lot with it for a few minutes.

How do I find out the disc version number? I looked all through the menus and can't seem to find it!

Mark,

My navi override button is the "other" sequence. 'Menu' button, volume adjustment screen, then touch the top left, bottom left, top left, bottom left corners.
