BMC and Caster

I’m about to upgrade my 275 to 285. Currently have 1.25” Spidertrax wheel spacers on 17x8 wheels with 0 offset. I’m not getting any rubbing from the body mount. I have Total Chaos upper control arms and my last alignment showed they were set at 5 degrees of caster. Since I have 5 degrees caster, it’s pushed forward away from the body mount. How likely would I rub on the body mount?

Tried searching, but didn’t find any results that mentioned caster playing a part.

People recommend pushing your caster into the +4 to clear the body mount, if you need additional room (although you already did it) near the body mount.

If you really want to test out fitment, you can cut a piece of cardboard about 2 inch in length, and tape that piece of cardboard to the ouside edge of your tire closest to the body mount, and leave about 1/4 of a inch to 1/3 of a inch sticking out towards the body mount, and see if the body mount hits the cardboard when you turn the wheel. You can also clear a few MM by removing the mudflaps if you need to.

285/70 no problem. 285/75 could be an issue.

285/70/17, camberg ucas, stock -6, spidertrax spacers with about 2-3 degrees of caster. Rubbed until i got a bmc.
