Body lift emergency question!

So I have it torn apart, and every write-up explains the bolt lengths required. I have a 1" body lift from fatpats, and I only received 2 different bolt lengths??? 2 short bolts and all the rest are the same size. Will this work??

seems right to me from memory...I made my own 1" BL from McMaster-Carr. I remember re-using x2 factory bolts in a different location.
Pretty easy, especially if you've got a lift.

I would remove the bolts from one side and line them out. I have done one where I had to reuse one of the stock bolts (per side)

What year is your truck?

8 Large body pucks, 2 Smaller body pucks, 2 long bolts, 4 medium bolts, 4 short bolts, 2 super small bolts, 1 steering spacer. (96 only use 8 bolts and pucks unlike the newer models, Also some years require different length bolts behind the front tires)

I am planning on sending him a message, I just was trying to get it done in a shorter time span than I should have. I put the bumper back on and will attempt it again one evening this week.
I was planning to redrill the brackets to raise it up the one in that is needed.

What year is your truck?

It is a 97. I read this on fat Pats site, which is what gave me the initial concern. Also, I have read through the great right up here on the Forum several times.

I did mine years ago & Pat sent me the wrong length bolts. I think 2 were short, I just went to the hardware store for some grade 8's. Also you dont need to take off the front bumper, extensions in the front of the engine bay work fine. Good Luck

Pat responded to me tonight and said that the bolts are correct for 97.

I used 4Crawlers BL kit on my '98 and those bolts were about 3 different lengths as I recall. Thankfully he packaged the kit with everything in labeled bags. As I recall I believe the shortest bolts for mine were the two front mounts just FYI. But different kit, slightly different year...YMMV. And as was noted already, hopefully you loosened all the nuts but only removed one side of the bolts at a time otherwise the rig could shift during installation...

I just installed my fat oats body lift on my 2000 3 days ago...

I installed the smallest of the bolts on the rear body mount I believe...or the very front.. now I forget. But I only had 2 different lengths

I also re-used either the 3rd or 4th body mount (since they are the same length) on the 2nd body mount location (if assuming the front of the rig is body mount #1) to avoid having to knock off the washer ...

I didn’t have a big enough socket to bang with a hammer to get the washers off so that was some of the most time consuming items...

That & the steering spacer because I rotated the steering wheel when I wasn’t underneath the vehicle & had to adjust it 3 times!! Ugh..

Took me about 3 hours even with the struggles..

Make sure you have

- a big enough socket to fit around the washer but clear the factory bolt
- big piece of wood (2x4) to disperse the weight when jacking up the body
- don’t twist the steering rod when fitting the steering spacer
- make sure you undo your shifting linkage 12mm bolt before jacking up the body

I finished installing it yesterday, the short bolts go in the back, all others are the same length on a 97 1" lift. The worst part was definitely the steering spacer, as it for tightly on the bolts, but all in all wasn't terrible.
I'm trying to decide whether to move the bumper up or just wait for my coastal bumper to arrive.

Posted a pic in the third gen thread, but here's what I have, bumper is still low.
Another tip I haven't read on here.
Before you Jack the body up, put a ratchet strap around the axle and frame. It keeps the suspension squatted so you don't have to jack as much/high.
