body lift?

im sure someone has asked this before but ive been looking for days and cant find an answer I know about the 1" 1.25" and 1.5" body lift options but why not a 3" kit is there something about the 4th gen that makes this not a viable option? has anyone tried to make a kit from a taco work? ive installed plenty of those. im not really looking for offroad performance just some more height from my truck already have a 3-2 spacer lift(like I said not looking for offroad performance) im in south jersey no rocks or tough trails just sand and washouts so nothing real tough. looking under the truck I can see no reason for the 3" not to work except maybe bumper alignment which is no big deal I have torches and welder that can fix that. any insight would be appreciated thanks

Im not seeing a reason for the lack of a 3" option for a body lift lots of suspension and what tires fit with what but nothing about a bigger body lift. sorry if its there and im glazing over it if you got a page number ill be glad to read it

I think Mike is saying if you look there, it will tell you about a 3" BL. OH, no 3" BL on ARKS list. Probably no exsist on gen4.

You might try asking on the 120 form, lot of guys that do the imposable over there.

Mostly looking to find out why its not offered they're not complicated if i have to ill just get a taco one and make it work just wanted to see if anyone had some insight

My guess would be, 1.5 BL radiator bracket and steering extent. My guess if you look at all the brake, fuel, electrical, lines, ect, it would be more costly than worth the extra 1.5 your looking for. This is why I said, go to toyota120 and do a search or ask them guys.

Blk-4runner stacked two sets of 1.5" spacers to give him 3". Not the smartest route by far but it hasn't failed yet. 3" sets the cog way too high off the frame. 1.5" is the max bl available for safety reasons.

Yupp- I'm currently running 3" BL, never had any issue at all... I've been to Pismo, Deer Valley, Shaver Lake, Slick Rock, Diamond Park and couple of trips to Hollister.

Not sure about the taco but for the 4runner you'll need to extend the battery cable along with the relocation of the power steering fluid, and adjust your front and rear bumper as you will notice a big gap.

Pretty much the same for taco and just about anything else. i don't think ill stack kits maybe ill try for an older pickup or taco kit
