Just wondering in preparation for a body mount chop if everyone's distance from tire to body mount is the same R vs L.
I find consistently my Left tire is closer to the body mount by 1/2" or more. No matter how I turn the wheel or after driving, no matter if I measure from wheel to body mount or tire to body mount, and I've measured on different days, and in different locations (parking lots, street, etc) my left is consistently closer to body mount than my right by a noticeable difference.
Is this normal, or is my frame off (my 4runner was in a small fender bender in the past, but doesn't seem enough to cause this)? If other people's R and L are pretty much the same, I can only conclude mine is off, or maybe other people can note a similar discrepancy? If mine is off, then I wonder if there are manufacturing variables or if a small fender bender could throw an entire frame off to this degree?
