Body rust

So I bought my 2nd Gen with the normal rust around the rear wheels it had Ben on both front fenders but the drivers was replaced due to the rust I will be replacing the passenger side fender but am at a loss on the rear seeing as how it is a uni body and I can't just replace it like I did on my old Chevy by swapping beds. Is the only way to weld fresh sheet metal on or is there another option

There is a thread on here somewhere showing a guy in Canada and the rear quarter panels he makes in fiberglass.

After charing with my welder at work he ausured me that welding it wasn't bad so now I am looking for the body panals I want to stay with steal see g as how I always end up cracking fiberglass on cars
