edit2: old dude that did the work called me back, admitted he was at fault, brought me the nut, and we stood there and fixed it in the driveway. Love this guy. My mom wants to bake him a batch of cookies. lol
guy said that even though it's recommended to take the whole thing off at once, sometimes when you back one of the bolts off, it will often run into the hole in the pulley that it's designed to be removed through. It's happened enough that he just says **** it and pulls the wheel off first.
time for a late lunch with a beer or three to wash it down.
edit: okay, just reviewed the FSM. Guess my only question now is whether to try and tighten the pulley wheel nut while it is on the vehicle, or take the whole thing off and tighten in a vice?

Actually, now that I think about it, I'm not even sure the bolt was on there following recent engine replacement, I've driven 100 miles, so i guess it was at least finger tight.
Just had the engine replaced and I'm wondering if this is on the guy who did it?
Don't want to call him to come fix it if it isn't his fault ... I'm assuming he at some point took the pulley wheel off and forgot to tighten it?
