Borla Cat Back System

Looked into it, but that is as far as I have got. Want to hear one first before diving in. Probably will just end up getting a muffler and having a shop weld it in.

:hiding:

Per other threads, I will post soon.

I will include pics, and backstory, and review. I'm waiting for a little time in my schedule (work, grad class finals, 2 boys, etc.), and to give it a little "in the saddle" time.

Plus, I'm engaged in another issue regarding speed wobble and will be visiting my local dealer this afternoon, so first things first...

:)

NP, thanks.

Curious why most people don't install the muffler by itself, but instead go the cat-back option? The factory tubing is all stainless steel and new, so why spend all the extra money on material you don't need? Is the diameter of the tubing larger? I'm "assuming" the way the aftermarket tubing is routed is the same as the factory since you'd need to use the factory mounts for the exhaust hangers?

If I'm missing something here, please share? Wouldn't it be more cost effective to just swap out the muffler?

Very good question.

I'm guessing you would cut the stock muffler out, leave the rest and clamp on an after market muffler between the existing pipe. Although, the after market muffler probably won't have the hanger.
