DO THY MAKE AN EXHAUSE SYSTEN FOR 4.0L V6 4R?? ANYONE WITH BORLA EXHAUST WHAT DOES IT SOUND LIKE? IS IT LOUD?

yes they work on the V6, and there are complaints of a 2000rpm drone. there's a sound clip but i can't find it now.....you can try looking because it's been discussed a lot. here's the search results i found...

i just put the borla on yesterday. previously i had a magnaflow spliced on and that thing was louder than the borla. the borla sounds a litter more refined and evened out.
the drone doesnt necessarily come up at 2000 rpm, it sorta depends on how hard your engine is working. the harder you accelerate, the louder the sound.
dont ask me for a sound clip because i cant seem to make a clip that picks up the exhaust sounds the way i want it too
the borla isnt all that loud on the v6, i actually like it a little better than the magnaflow because the inside resonance isnt as bad. i do have some hesitation on how well and how long this setup is going to last when i go offroading. the tips are nice and shiny but i doubt theyll stay that when they meet a piece of rock.
also, the left side of the exhaust seems like it might be in the way of the pan hard bar (? is that what its called ?) when the right side is compressed and the left side is extended. i'm probably going to look for another solution in the future.

Borla - Great Deal!
If you are considering the Borla Cat Back exhaust there's a great deal on eBay under a seller named toyota_accessories. I purchased mine last Thursday and according to Fed Ex it will be delivered today. This exhaust is brand new and comes with a TRD performance filter for $550 + $15 shipping!!!!!!! What a steal compared to the grand Borla wants on their website! Toyota_accessories only has one more and I'm sure it wont last long.

Borla rep isn't all that much help, saying only that they don't have an official app for the 05'.
From what I can gather the downpipe has changed angle maybe just enough to throw off the alignment of the other parts.

Found response from question I asked re: 05' V8 & Borla system asked on T/S website.
"I watched them put the exhaust on, and then take it right back off. There would have to be a bunch of welding involved even to remotely make it work, so I said screw it. They packed it up and I sent it back to the guy I bought it from, who refunded me the full price. He's gonna call me as soon as the '05 system comes in"

I actually e-mailed the toyota_accessories seller on ebay and let him know that the system does NOT fit the '05 V8. He said thanks for the info., however I guess he did not update his auction. See Jackz's previous post as it was me that tried to install it and did not work.
