Borla or Magnaflow? Suggestions?

I want to improve the inhaling and exhaling as well as enjoy that V8 "tone" that's currently suppressed by the OEM exhaust. That being said I want it to sound like a 5.0 Mustang but not so loud that its abusive and hard to have a conversation while on the highway. There's a significant price difference between the Borla and Magna... do you guys have any recommendations? I know the Borla is top of the line but I'm concerned about more sound than i want.

I went with magnaflow for years. Now I run flowmaster on my show cars and solo performance mufflers on my daily drivers. My 4 runner sounds great with it, fully polished stainless muffler. Much better sounding then magnaflow . Flowmaster muffler makes v8's sound the best in my opinion. My 4 runner has
More of a strath solo on it , sounds like a stock dodge ram , nice rumble until you get on it the. It screams. No drone at all in cabin .

I just had a magnaflow 22" welded in for 50 bucks. Part number 12586...almost identical dims as oem. Then cut off the football resonator in back and bolted on an advanced auto parts 45 degree pipe so it exits out the side. Painted it black and looks ultra oem. SOUNDS PERFECT! No drone and sounds sporty. Ive had the cat back magnaflow and it had drone.

I recommend the Gibson cat-back exhaust. Makes the V8 sound awesome. Nice deep, low growl and definitely not too loud.

Magnaflow only belongs on Jeeps. Flowmaster is the way to go!!!!!!!

we have a Borla universal muffler on a cat back we fabbed up at my friend's shop one afternoon. we've had a borla on a v6 3rd gen, and it lasted forever (sold the T4R years ago, and it's still on the road, still w/ the Borla).

Liked it so much, we put on on the wife's van one day for giggles (she was not amused) and then on her V6 T4R (used for beach-mobile, so s/s muffler couldn't hurt).

Got a little bit of a drone inside at around 2000-2500 rpm, but quiets right down as you pass thru that range. Nice, mellow tone, not too loud or obnoxious. I've heard a v8 with a borla full cat-back, and it's a little more loud than our DIY system is, but still smooth and not raspy or tinny.

Borla full catback dual with resonated tips is the way to go. Its what I got. Been 5 years and it's still the same good old sound.
