Shouldn't there be 2 adjustor rings? I wanted to do the install tomorrow!!! I've emailed Toytec ...but I doubt I'll bet an answer till Monday.

So just the one ring? No "pressure/counter pressure" ring set to keep everything in place? If so COOL!! I'd love to get working on it tomorrow if time permits.

No, none of them work like that, the spring pressure holds it in place. The only reason the bilstein toytec adjustables have the two points for spanners is to hold the collar and keep it from spinning.

Just an FYI... My set-up came with two (2) rings.

Most of the photos in Google for spring installs show (2) rings. Perhaps they made some changes in seeing that perhaps 2 rings were redundant. But I will say again - my Boss Toytec set-up came with 2 rings.

Good luck.

Mine also came with two. I did get them when they first came out so they may have changed it up since.

The new 2.5's come with just a single ring, and I've seen pictures of the 2.0's with just a single ring. I didn't realize they had two before since it's not really necessary, but I'm sure they've changed it to a single ring. Even if they haven't changed for the 4runner, I know they use it on other platforms and there is no reason it wouldn't work on ours.

Between bad weather and kids soccer games, I'm not going to have time to do the install today. I emailed, and I'm going to call Toytec on Monday to get it straight from them. I'll post whatever they say.

I just got off the phone with Toytec. They recently changed the set-up from two to one adjustment ring. They said that they extensively tested the one ring set-up and found that there was no adjustment ring movement. They said that the change was partially due to occasional issues with the two rings binding together and becoming immovable over time.

Jabber, glad you asked this question because I had the same concern when I installed the kit last week. One question I have for you is once you have the kit installed I am interested in what your front measurements are. I had the FL side off by an 1.5" and had to crank it a bit to lift to match the FR. I am sitting roughly at 23" / 23 1/4" in the front. 25" in the back (ordered the HD rear springs, may take a bit to settle) Thanks!

No worries. I'll post up measurements after the install ...just need to decide if I'm going to do it now or wait till my bumper gets here.

"Yeah, the waiting is the hardest part ..."

Can you post ground to fender measurements as well?

Happy to oblige, but I just can't help myself ...

...and they'll prolly go in this weekend. Called Shrock and my bumper is still a couple months out.
