Both blinkers turn on?

I have a '92 3.0 T4R and just recently the blinkers started acting up. Anytime I try to turn one on they both come on (like hazards). I've replaced the fuse and all the lights are working, so what gives? Short maybe? Sometimes I'll turn one on and it will work for a short period of time but then the other does its thing too. Anyone know where to start?

sounds like a ground issue .. I would look at the signal housings

More like a short in the turn signal combo switch. If not, a short in hazard signal switch.

Do you have wiring for a trailer hitch?
That's a common source of problems like that.

I do, I'll check them along with all the other suggestions. Appreciate the responses, this has been driving me up a wall
