BOTH CV Boot Torn Question?

So I read a bunch of posts and I don't seem to see an answer to my question. I do about 1000 miles of driving a week, and most of it is highway. When my lift got put on I believe on the same day the CV boots tore because I noticed grease on the frame and stuff. Well anyways I've driven it about 5000 miles now with them torn and went offroading pretty hard. At the time I got the lift installed I didn't have a diff drop kit but now I do have one. My mechanic told me I had to get new axles because they were leaking grease but I think he just thinks I'm a dumb kid when I honestly think it's just the CV joints.
1. Should I replace these?
2. Any recommendations for a aftermarket cv joint? Or should I go factory.
3. Now that I have a diff drop kit, are they going to tear again so soon?

If you ask me, go ahead and get the CV axles replaced. Knowing mine were 15 years old and most likely never replaced, when my passenger side boot ripped, I bit the bullet and got everything on both sides replaced to hopefully keep it from happening again since I'm lifted now.

But with the diff drop kit, the angle on your CV axles shouldn't be AS bad so you should be able to last a while on new CV boots, I'd say.

Your mechanic is talking about the same thing you are - when he says new axles he means CV axles.

You should replace them at some point, yes.

The boots will probably tear again, even with a diff drop, but there are some solutions. I haven't tried them, but here are some links.
