Bought '05 V8 Sport getting delivered today

I want to lift this thing about 2" or so in the front and get it level. I need to research what needs to be done. Bilsteins, OME, whatever.

What exactly does it do? Your kit I mean.. how does it keep the air pump from going out, or does it? Should I replace the filter before it damages the pump?

You should install the DIY kit from Slyfox or the eBay version (easier but more expensive) if you have a '05+ V8. It will prevent your AIP failing and going into limp-home mode, or worse. There's basically no downside, but with the upside of proactively preventing an expensive repair.

multiple threads about this.... but quick n dirty is the AIP system is only turned on by the ECU when ambient air temp at startup is OVER 41F AND coolant temp is UNDER 104F. (basically first startup after long rest on average day)

SO......the bypass tricks the ECU into thinking it is less than 41F for the first couple secs as the starter is engaged. Once the truck is started the bypass turns off and the correct/actual ambient air temp is sent to ECU for proper fuel/air mix.

There is no filter.
